Nikkei gains to post best week in two months

TOKYO, 31st March, 2023 (WAM) -- Japan's Nikkei share average rose on Friday - the last trading day of the country's fiscal year - and posted its best week in two months.

The benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 0.93 percent, or 258.55 points, to close at 28,041.48, while the broader Topix index added 1.02 percent, or 20.18 points, to 2,003.50.
