5.0-magnitude quake hits eastern Honshu, Japan -- GFZ

BEIJING, May 14 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted eastern Honshu, Japan at 2001 GMT on Wednesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 54.5 km, was initially determined to be at 39.98 degrees north latitude and 141.52 degrees east longitude.
